Graduate of University of Georgia, with a degree in Education. Owns Real Estate and Property Management Company with husband. Licensed real estate agent, Broker and Appraiser.

In all, Rep. Manning sponsored or co-sponsored 50 pieces of legislation and 19 House resolutions in her last term. Among them are: Increased Homestead exemption to ‘freeze’ taxes for Cobb County, Marietta, and Kennesaw. Called for rehiring of teachers from retirement to fill vacancies. Prevented child molesters from entering your homes via telephone or the Internet. Released funds to pay for the waiting lists for the mentally retarded and disabled. Required notification to cities and counties before railroad crossing can be closed. Provided insurance coverage for breast and colon/rectal screening for cancer. Provided supplies and training for diabetics. Reformed education to keep paraprofessionals for K through 3rd grade. Raised teacher salaries and retirement benefits.

HB900 School Truancy. This bill chosen by Gov. Purdue to add to his legislative package on Education

HB256 Power Lines Notification. Required Power companies to consult with residents before deciding the route of power lines.

HB1181 Disabilities Bill. Rep. Manning helped to save Kattie Beckett Wavier for hundreds of people with disabilities.

HR 1307 Disabled Persons. Requires that disabled persons receive consideration for community based services.HB 693 Annexation Bill to redefine Kennesaw City Limits
